Tastelands creates small-group food and cultural experiences in Spain, led by Begoña Medio. Each experience offers an insider’s perspective on regional food, artisan producers, markets, traditions, landscapes and local people.
Most experiences take place in Asturias, in northern Spain, although Tastelands also creates selected experiences in other destinations, including Valladolid. Please check each experience page for its exact location.
Tastelands is for curious travelers who want to experience Spain through food, culture and meaningful local encounters. Our experiences are especially suited to guests interested in regional cuisine, artisan products, wine, cider, cheese and gastronomy.
Multi-day journeys are primarily designed for international, English-speaking travelers. Shorter experiences are also available for visitors and local guests in Spain.
Tastelands offers multi-day, small-group food-focused journeys; shorter experiences that take place within one day; and private or tailor-made journeys for groups.
Activities may include market visits, producer visits, cheese dairies, cider houses, tastings, artisan workshops and cultural walks.
Submit a booking request through the form on the relevant experience page. Your request is received by Tastelands and Vantur Experiences, our licensed travel-agency partner.
At this stage, we ask for your full name, email address and telephone number. Once your booking is being processed, further details may be requested, including an emergency contact.
All Tastelands multi-day journeys are organized in partnership with Vantur Experiences SLU, a licensed Spanish travel agency (AV.203.AS). Vantur is the legal tour operator and payment processor; Tastelands does not collect payments directly.
Your booking is confirmed once availability has been checked, the required information has been provided, the booking terms have been accepted and payment has been completed through the link sent by Vantur Experiences.
There is no fixed booking deadline, but places are limited. We recommend submitting your request as early as possible, especially for multi-day journeys and private groups.
Scheduled Tastelands journeys generally have a maximum of 10 guests. Individual travelers can request a place on a scheduled shared journey. Private and tailor-made experiences are designed individually, so group size may vary depending on the itinerary, accommodation and activities.
Bookings are non-refundable. Please make sure you are able to travel on the selected dates before confirming your reservation.
Any exceptional request will be assessed by Vantur Experiences in accordance with the booking terms applicable to your trip.
Each experience page clearly states what is included. For multi-day journeys, this may include:

All prices are shown and charged in euros (€).
Room options may be available depending on the trip and accommodation. Please indicate your preferred room arrangement when you submit your booking request.
Availability cannot be guaranteed until the reservation has been confirmed.
Yes. Guests are responsible for arranging their own transport to the experience starting point, including flights and transfer to the accommodation on arrival, unless the itinerary specifically states otherwise. Tastelands is not responsible for costs caused by transport cancellations, delays or changes.
Travel insurance covering medical assistance, repatriation and emergencies is mandatory for multi-day trips. We also recommend coverage for cancellation, trip interruption and lost luggage. Vantur Experiences can offer additional insurance options on request.
You are also responsible for having all valid travel documents and requirements applicable to your journey, including passports, visas, permits or health certificates.
Tastelands experiences are deeply food-focused and may include dairy, cheese, seafood, meat, alcohol and other regional products. They may not be suitable for guests with severe allergies, lactose intolerance, or strict vegetarian or vegan diets.
Some activities also involve walking through towns, markets, rural areas, food-production spaces, uneven ground or locations with steps. Many experiences may therefore not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility.
Please contact us before booking to discuss your requirements. We will advise you honestly, but cannot guarantee that all dietary or accessibility needs can be accommodated.
Children are welcome when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Please contact us before booking so we can confirm whether the specific experience is appropriate for their age and needs.
Pets are not permitted on Tastelands experiences.
Begoña accompanies Tastelands multi-day journeys, introducing guests to the places, people, food and traditions that shape each destination.
Some experiences include cider, wine, vermouth or other alcoholic drinks as part of the local food culture. Participation is optional, and alcohol must always be consumed responsibly.
We ask all guests to respect the group, local hosts, producers, venues and the environment. Tastelands may remove a participant whose behaviour puts the group, suppliers or the experience at risk. In such cases, no refund will be due.
Photos and videos may be taken during experiences for promotional purposes. If you do not wish your image to be used, please notify us in writing before the experience begins.
